Things just got interesting.

Packers President Mark Murphy is in Hattiesburg this morning (Wednesday) for a meeting at Brett's house.

Most folks are reporting that Murphy is trying to buy more time for Thompson. According to the Milwaukee Journal, the last thing the Packers want is Favre at practice on Friday (thursday is an off day).

We here at the Packerbackerblog, despite our previous frustration/anger with Favre, hope that Murphy takes the high road and settles the differences between Favre and the Packers. The only decent solution to this whole mess is getting Favre back as a Packer and let him earn the starting job back from Rodgers.
